Position Overview: We are currently looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. This onsite role will primarily focus on cash account reconciliation and general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly cash accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger, including accruals, adjustments, and allocations.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Maintain documentation of accounting procedures and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on cash reconciliation and general ledger entries preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
- CPA certification or progress toward certification is a plus.
