STAFF ACCOUNTANT
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing both accounts payable and receivable, executing bank reconciliations, and overseeing the payroll processes. You will also contribute to the budget process, month end, software implementation, and some analysis while maintaining fiscal files and records.
Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Local contract and funding requirements in relation to accounts receivable and payable.
* Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy.
* Manage payroll processes in the general ledger, including recording payroll data into the general ledger.
* Assist in the budget process, its implementation, and subsequent analysis to ensure fiscal responsibility.
* Prepare and enter journal entries into the general ledger to maintain accurate financial records.
* Serve as a backup for the preparation of Funder Fiscal Reports and Invoices.
* Be responsible for bank deposits as needed.
* Handle ACH processes and data entry tasks efficiently.
* Maintain fiscal files and records to ensure easy accessibility and accuracy.
* Assist with reviews and audits as required to ensure compliance.
Requirements
* Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
* Proven experience as a Staff Accountant
* Proficiency in accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and NetSuite
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
* Proficient in management of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
* Experience with Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, and Journal Entries
* Able to handle Month End Close procedures efficiently
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
* Must be legally authorized to work in the country where the job is located
* A proactive approach to work, with a willingness to cooperate as part of a team.
compensation: $65,000 - $78,000 (DOE)
