STAFF ACCOUNTANT

JOB DESCRIPTION Singleton Schreiber, LLP is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our San Diego team.

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

$33.00-$36.00/hour

Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualifications for the role.

JOB DUTIES:

•Processing client settlement payments for all types of settlements
•Preparing and processing client payments and attorney fees
•Reviewing Client Settlement Distribution Agreements
•Conducting audits of payments made and attorney fee splits
•Coordinating with the Settlement Team on client payments
•Filing and maintaining accounting documents
•Assisting with month-end close procedures
•Handling internal and external inquiries concerning client's payment
•Performing additional duties needed to support the accounting department

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and have an ability to adapt quickly to change. This candidate should have experience in maintaining a database of financial information and be able to recognize and solve any problems that may arise in a flexible, timely manner.
•2-3 years of general accounting experience
•Proficiency with Microsoft office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and QuickBooks
•Law Firm experience (preferred)
•An eye for efficiency and improvement of current processes
•Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously and be very organized
•Excellent administrative, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail and accuracy
•Positive and enthusiastic team player
•Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Studies, or Economics
•Full-time, Hybrid position (In Office 3 days per week)
