About the Job
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring accurate preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and various account reconciliations and analyses.
- Conduct variance analysis (comparing actual results to budget) and collaborate with department leaders to address or rectify discrepancies.
- Assist in the creation of compliance reports and supply necessary documentation for audits and tax authorities.
- Provide support for financial and SOX audit requirements.
- Manage intercompany reconciliations, including settlements, transfer pricing, consolidation, and remeasurement entries.
- Resolve accounting issues related to billings, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.
- Contribute to ad hoc projects that enhance accounting, reporting, and financial processes.
Qualifications:
- At least 4 years of accounting experience, spanning both public and private sectors (ideally with 2 years in each, or 4 years in private sector).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification is a bonus.
- Strong proficiency in Excel with a thorough understanding of accounting principles.
