Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team in Seattle, Washington. This role is crucial in maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. The Staff Accountant will contribute significantly to keeping our financial information organized and accurate, ensuring our operations run efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in updating and maintaining financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
- Help in managing the accounts receivable to ensure timely and effective collections.
- Aid in the reconciliation of the company's balance sheets.
- Ensure prompt and accurate maintenance of the general ledger.
- Assist in making journal entries to keep the financial data updated.
- Help in closing accounts on a monthly basis and preparing monthly financial statements.
- Assist the Accounts Receivable clerk for an hour each day to ensure smooth operations.
- Contribute to the team effort in managing a significant Accounts Receivable portfolio.
- Utilize various software for financial management, including NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.
- Support the team in maintaining financial security by following internal accounting controls. Requirements - Possess a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- Have a strong understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Proficient in performing bank reconciliations
- Familiar with General Ledger operations
- Capable of making accurate Journal Entries
- Experienced in handling Month End Close procedures
- Proficient in using NetSuite and Oracle software for accounting tasks
- Have working knowledge of QuickBooks and SAP
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Familiarity with financial regulations and accounting principles
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions based on data.
