We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. As an integral member of the team, you will play a key role in supporting our processes and systems as we expand our rapidly growing business in new verticals. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives on taking full ownership of their work, is eager to grow and develop, and possesses a keen eye for the fine details to ensure accuracy. This role reports into the Accounting Manager and will be based in our Seattle office.
What You'll Do
- Manage the A/P function, including entering bills, ensuring timely payment, recording in accordance with GAAP, and assisting with Accruals at month end.
- Complete Inventory 3-way Match to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Own the 1099 preparation and issuance process for all contractors.
- Manage the A/R function, including assisting with billing, applying payment receipts, and maintaining relationships with customers to prevent uncollectible accounts.
- Process Employee Payroll, including reviewing employees' work hours and payment through the payroll system, issuing deductions, and updating payroll records regularly.
- Enter bank wires and transfers in the banking portal
- Complete Account Reconciliations to assist with month end close efforts
- Review all expense activity, including credit card activity and employee reimbursements, to ensure a high level of accuracy, proper coding and segmentation before posting to the general ledger.
- Oversee the department's email inbox and provide the highest level of customer service throughout all client interactions and internal communications
- Provide support to outside auditors, tax firms, and legal teams as necessary.
- Assist with Ad Hoc projects, as needed.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred
- 2+ years of accounting experience
- High-growth start-up experience preferred
- Experience in E-commerce and Inventory management preferred
- Understanding of and ability to adhere of GAAP
- Direct working experience with Netsuite
- Advanced spreadsheet and strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- High self-initiative to proactively identify and solve problems

Compensation Range
$80,000 - $90,000 Note that final compensation is subject to the candidate's specific qualifications and location, as well as the needs of the company. This position is eligible to participate in the company's bonus program. The target bonus opportunity is 15% of the base salary.
The Company currently provides medical, vision, and dental insurance and 100% of the employee medical, vision, and dental premiums covered by the Company. There is an option to participate in both a medical FSA and dependent care FSA. We offer a 401(k) plan, with fully matching contributions up to 3% of salary and 50% matching from 3% to 5% of salary. There is a company paid life-insurance policy, and the option to participate in a voluntary pet-insurance policy. You will be eligible for Paid Time Off in accordance with the company's policies. Our Seattle-based employees will receive commuter benefits.
