We are currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Staff Accountant to join our growing Accounting + Finance team. This exciting opportunity will allow you to utilize and expand your accounting skills in a vibrant and fast-paced environment. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including preparing financial statements, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, and assisting with month-end closing procedures. In addition, you will be a key player in the development and implementation of accounting procedures and policies.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
2. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
3. Perform balance sheet and income statement reconciliations.
4. Assist in the month-end and year-end close process, including the preparation of audit schedules.
5. Maintain the general ledger system and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
6. Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
7. Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
8. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
9. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimize service quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role.
3. Proficiency in QuickBooks, Infor SXe, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent accounting software.
4. Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
5. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
6. Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
7. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Ability to meet deadlines and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
