ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:
- Responsible for preparing journal entries and reconciliations for approval by the Accounting Manager.
- Prepare internal and/or external reporting to support business owners to ensure appropriate financial statement disclosure.
- Assist Management with system implementations and testing.
- Prepare analysis for Management and external auditors for quarterly and Annual analytical reviews.
- Keep position procedure documentation up to date.
- Communicate with vendors and internal associates to answer questions and resolve issues, including reconciliation and auditing of company records.
- Investigate and analyze discrepancies and recommend issue resolution. Escalates as needed.
- Prepare and run various daily, weekly and monthly reports; sort and distribute for use as necessary.
- Assist with Company projects as assigned. Expected to cross-train in multiple department positions.
- Develop reporting for internal or external use as needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance, or Business, plus one (1) year of accounting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
