Are you a detail-oriented and proactive accounting professional? Our client, a rapidly expanding company, is looking to add a Staff Accountant to their talented accounting team. What You’ll Be Doing:

Month-End Close & Reconciliation:

• Perform thorough reconciliations for key accounts, including cash, inventory, liabilities, debt, and intercompany balances.
• Accurately prepare and post both recurring and one-time journal entries.
• Manage sales and use tax compliance—handling collections, filings, and payments.
• Stay current on complex state tax laws and regulations.
• Analyze financial data, identify variances, and offer actionable insights.

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

• Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and reports.
• Conduct detailed analysis to compare actual financial performance with budgeted figures and prior periods.
• Contribute to ad-hoc projects and financial analyses as needed.

Audits & Compliance:

• Be the main point of contact for sales and use tax audits, working directly with state auditors and managing documentation.
• Support the annual financial statement audit by collaborating with external auditors and providing necessary data and analysis.

What We’re Looking For:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience: At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in accounting software, including ERP systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Additional Details:

• Location: Vancouver, WA (with hybrid flexibility).
• Salary: $58,000 - $68,640 per year.
