Job Summary
The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing a range of accounting duties to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role involves maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts, preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and supporting the overall accounting function. The Staff Accountant will work closely with the accounting team and other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting while adhering to accounting principles and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Help manage the plant accounting operations to include Daily Product Costing, Daily Production Reporting, Inventory Management, and System Costing Management.
- Reconcile the daily, weekly, and monthly production, cost, and inventory reporting and balance sheet accounts
- Work closely with Assistant Controller/Controller to analyze operating and financial data
- On time and accurate reporting of daily, weekly, and monthly results, to be reviewed by plant management.
- Help oversee the maintenance and use of Inventory Management & Costing System.
- Special projects as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration OR 3+ years related experience
- Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Inventory Management and Production Reporting processes
- Bill of Material Setup and Maintenance
- Experience in production facility
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to navigate through complex situations.
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to coordinate multiple projects/tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment.
- Ability and desire to visit production floor to foster strong relationships and broaden understanding of operations.
- Desire to grow and take on new challenges and opportunities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, desk phones, and smartphones. The position will also be required to regularly visit production facility work environments.
