Jamison Professional Services, Inc. (“Jamison”) is currently seeking a qualified and motivated candidate for the position of Staff Auditor in the Washington, DC 20005 area. Current project is good for 6 months.
Primary Purpose of Position
The overall objective of the Audit and Assurance Division is to assist all levels of management and the Audit Committee by providing independent analysis, appraisals, advice, and recommendations concerning the activities reviewed. The purpose of the Staff Auditor position is to perform specialized audits of the Universal Service Fund contributors or beneficiaries.
Scope of Work
The position’s essential duties include the following:
• Planning and performing compliance audits in accordance with applicable audit standards;
• Preparing clear and concise audit work papers, reports, and other communications to document the audit procedures performed and exceptions identified;
• Communicating audit status and results via written reports and oral presentations on a timely basis to the auditee and USAC management;
• Providing assistance in the completion of audit efforts for whistleblower investigations;
• Performing project management duties over individual workload;
• Pursuing professional development opportunities, including external and internal training and professional association memberships, and share information with co-workers to contribute to the growth and development of the Audit and Assurance Division; and
• Assisting in other special projects as needed.

Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Level of Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Training or Formal Education Fields: Audit, Accounting, Finance and/or Business
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) desired.
The minimum amount of total work-related experience required is four (4) years, for the position. This means experience in a related area or time spent performing similar work that provides the background for the current position.
Other Desired Experience: Telecommunications Industry; Microsoft Office; Regulatory
