About the Job
We are seeking a Staff Auditor I for the Internal Audit Department.
The primary purpose of this role is to plan, execute, and report on assigned audit engagements in accordance with standard auditing procedures. Secondary functions include assisting with external audits/exams, management requests, producing analytical & ad hoc reports, and performing risk and control assessments. The audit results provide management an assessment of how their internal control environment is functioning.

Highlights:
- Perform independent analyses (financial, compliance, operational audits, and information systems examinations and audits) of credit union operations including: examining records to determine the reliability and integrity of information; compliance with policies, plans, procedures, laws, and regulations; the safeguarding of assets; and the economical and efficient use of resources
- Communicate the results of audits and consulting projects via written reports and oral presentations to management
- Execute Management Requests and/or Task Assignments as assigned
- Coordinate the department’s work with the external auditors, regulators, and other governing agencies
Experience:
Preferred
- Experience in the financial services industry preferred
Education:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance (or related field)

- Keep abreast of the changing needs of the credit union and how departmental changes affect the scope of audit plans and audit priorities

- Maintain current knowledge of developments related to business matters of interest to the Internal Audit Department and new auditing techniques and practices

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5:30 pm
