Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Operations and maintenance, monitoring, sampling, and troubleshooting of various types of environmental remediation systems.
• Collect soil, groundwater, soil vapor, or remediation system samples to support remediation activities.
• Daily field report preparation and verbal notification of site status to project engineers and project managers.
• Perform tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials.
• Responsible for documenting work activities, chain of custody, etc.
• Installation, operations, and maintenance of electrical equipment (e.g., pumps), piping, manifolds, or controls for remediation projects.
• Maintenance of field instruments and ensuring that field equipment is in proper operating condition.
• Compliance with ETIC- and client-specific health and safety requirements and acting in a safe manner at all times to ensure that these policies and procedures are being followed.
• The job duties and obligations may change from time to time as determined by ETIC.
Successful Candidates Should Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geology or Environmental Science.
- 1 year of relevant experience, preferred.
- Familiar with environmental site investigations, groundwater monitoring, groundwater/soil sampling, assessment, characterization, and date quality review/date evaluation.
- Demonstrated effective oral and written communications skills.
- Sound decision making and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail oriented and strong organization skills.
- Proven ability to perform in a high volume, time sensitive/deadline driven environment.
- Ability to work and contribute to a team environment and handle multiple tasks/projects at a given time.
- Must be willing to travel within the state of California.
- Proficient with standard computer applications including MS Office Suite.
- OSHA 40-hour training experience a plus.
- Must meet company defined, pre-employment and annual alcohol/drug screens.
- Valid Driver License with a clean driving record.
