We are looking for a talented staff engineer to support technology delivery initiatives within GDT
In this role you will lead the Supply Chain Warehouse Management engineering solutions, working with vendor partners, business partners, Security, Infrastructure, Product and the Engineering teams. A day in the life:Technical responsibility of architecture roadmap and vision of the Supply chain solutions Design and Lead the Supply Chain Warehouse Management engineering solutions, working with vendor partners, business partners, Product and the Engineering teamsCollaborates with architects and principal engineers to create detailed design that is scalable, secure and maintainableProvides oversight on delivery to ensure industry best practices, standards, automation, quality, timeliness, operational readiness, continuous improvement and cost-effective solutionsProvides technical leadership in transition from legacy Warehouse Management Systems into modern WMS solutionsProvides technical oversight and guidance to junior engineers on maintaining high quality code ensuring best practices are followedConducts thorough peer reviews of the code providing constructive feedback to improve quality and ensure adherence to standardsCreates and maintains comprehensive documentation of code, system design and processes to ensure knowledge transfer and ease of maintenanceDesigns and supports implementation of telemetry solution to measure key performance metrics and health of deployed applicationDesigns and supports implementation of resiliency solution to ensure application and data availability and business continuity in case of disasterMentors junior engineers providing guidance on technical skillsConducts training sessions and workshops to help team members learn new technologiesActively participate in our Enterprise Engineering Community of Practice and contributes towards development and maturity of enterprise engineering platformsDirect the identification and recommendation of appropriate solutions, upgrades, replacements, or decommissioning options incorporating business and technology productivity, usability, and total cost of ownershipQualifications:Completed Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering is preferred; candidates with substantial and relevant industry experience are also eligible10+ years of software engineering experience Strong knowledge and working experience with programming languages such as java and pythonStrong knowledge and working experience with application development frameworks like Spring Boot Strong knowledge and working experience with Cloud technologies and services such as AWS Lambda and AWS S3.Strong knowledge and working experience with data integration technologies such as KafkaStrong knowledge and working experience with API based system designStrong Experience working with relational and no-sql databases such as Postgres, MongoDBExperience working with containers and container orchestration systems like Kubernetes.Experience working with tools like Gitlab, Splunk and DatadogGood knowledge and working experience in Agile methodology and familiar with tools like Jira and ConfluenceExperience with infrastructure provisioning tools like Terraform and workflow orchestration tools like AirflowExperience working in a cross-functional environmentAbility to interact with tech/non-tech teams in Infrastructure, Network, Development, Product team and Business Partners.Experience in designing WMS solutions or similar roles is preferredExperienced in Security and Sarbanes-Oxley audits is preferredExperienced in process reviews, continuous improvement, automation, and tool eliminationExperience in analyzing and recommending solutions for production issues.Excellent technical documentation and communication skills with the ability to articulate business requirements into new technologies.Detail-oriented with effective time management skills to facilitate unplanned projects and interruptionsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across multiple cross-functional teamsComfortable with ambiguity and time spent outside of comfort zone acquiring new skillsMust haves:Acknowledges the presence of choice in every moment and takes personal responsibility for their lifePossesses an entrepreneurial spirit and continuously innovates to achieve great resultsCommunicates with honesty and kindness and creates the space for others to do the sameLeads with courage, knowing the possibility of greatness is bigger than the fear of failure Fosters connection by putting people first and building trusting relationshipsIntegrates fun and joy as a way of being and working, aka doesn’t take themselves too seriously**Additional Notes

The typical hiring range for this position is from $164,000-$225,500 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity
