Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Prepare/execute all fixed asset and intangible asset-related activities, including month-end financial close activities and entries, preparation of fixed asset roll-forwards and account reconciliations, maintaining CIP accounts and ensuring assets are placed into-service (depreciated/amortized) on a timely basis, recording of disposals (and associated gain/loss on sale), etc.
• Actively participate in efforts to streamline the overall financial close process
• Engage and partner with equipment/fleet operations personnel to facilitate timely and accurate in-service of assets when purchased/entered into CIP.
• Analyze and forecast fixed asset spend and related depreciation, at both the field and corporate levels.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of a company-wide fixed asset/capitalization policy and supporting processes.
• Regular interaction/support of the external auditors for the consolidated (and subsidiary) year-end audits, with regards to fixed asset and intangible asset-related accounts.
• Participate in special projects such as integration of new or acquired companies, system implements, process improvements, etc..
• Help with other responsibilities, as needed, such as real and personal property tax filings, payroll/bonus accruals and related filings.

Requirements:

• BS in Accounting.
• CPA preferred, but not required
• Preferred experience level - 2 to 4 years’ experience in fixed asset accounting or related disciplines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Team player with a teachable attitude / willingness to learn.
• Ability to execute tasks within a project plan on time and at a high-level of quality.
• Working knowledge of MS Office tools
• Experience using modern ERP’s such as SAP or Oracle preferred
• Good social skills in dealing with internal personnel, auditors, and customers.
