Job Summary:
This position will manage IT backend systems, servers, applications, and services. The Staff IT System Engineer is one of the primary person to manage cooperate backend systems, deploy new solutions follow Supermicro IT and Infosec's guideline. This individual will have an in-depth knowledge of the IT environment, and business requirements, with the desired goal of reducing the amount of reactive support required. Customer satisfaction and fast resolution time are the primary objectives of the IT System Engineer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Set up Server HW and install SW
• Responsible for Server Hardware/software maintenance
• Proactively find issues and provide recommendations
• Identify and troubleshoot issues
• Manage Linux servers, includes Redhat, Ubuntu, CentOS, SUSE
• Manage the services on Linux, DNS, Proxy, Load balance, KVM, Ceph Storage
• Manage data backup solutions
• Provide excellent support to tier1 IT support staffs including responding to and resolving requests related to backend system
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in IT related fields (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, etc.) preferred
• 12+ years of experience in a server/system support role preferred
• Expert in Linux server OS and privilege/access control
• Familiar with virtualization, container
• Knowledge in Windows OS is a plus
• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Have solid understanding of Network protocols
• Experience with SAN storage a plus
• Experience with ITIL preferred
• Able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds like computers, printers, monitors, and peripherals
Salary Range
$163,000 - $186,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
