Staff Packaging Engineer at Insight Global

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Lead packaging design and development for new products, including sustainable solutions • Develop and apply engineering design guides and standards • Ensure manufacturability of designs and collaborate with Engineering for equipment and fixture procurement • Support and develop consistent manufacturing and quality standards • Design product labels to customer requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.

•Minimum 8 years of industry experience

•Proficiency with packaging industry design and test standards (ISTA, ASTM, etc.)

•Knowledge of sterile barrier packaging and sterilization processes

•Strong understanding of medical device packaging, manufacturing practices, and test methods

•Experience with packaging equipment process qualifications and project qualification activities • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and CAD software (Solidworks, ArtiosCAD) • Container leak testing experience • Strong analytical, planning, and interpersonal skills
