We are seeking an ambitious physical therapist who wants mentorship to grow in their career. 5 day work schedule. Salary range: $82,000 - $85,000 annually.
*$1,500 sign on bonus payable after completion of 90 days of employment. *Empower offers a competitive benefits package inclusive of: medical, dental, vision, short term disability, life insurance and the ability to participate in a Simple IRA as well as 7 paid holidays.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement physical therapy programs that focus on rehabilitation
* Work directly with patients to achieve maximum physical recovery
* Evaluate effects of therapy treatment and communicate patients' progress
* Record and document patient care services using Prompt
* Collaborate with other team personnel to achieve well-rounded care; including working with PTA's
* Reduce patients' need for medication and surgeries by improving range of motion, strength, flexibility, coordination and balance
* Devise detailed exercise techniques, stretches, self care programs for patients to complete between sessions
* Maintain patient confidentiality
* Comply with federal and state physical therapy regulations
Qualifications:
* Current State of Michigan Physical Therapy license
* Previous experience in physical therapy outpatient clinics
* Able to handle physical workload
* Personable: Able to build rapport with patients, proven work ethic and dedication to patient care throughout the recovery process
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong leadership qualities
* Able to work in a fast paced environment
* A thorough knowledge of current treatment practices
* Able to communicate and adapt to different patients and personalities
* Driven and highly motivated
* Open to learning Mackenzie, red cord and dry needling
* Proven track record of meeting goals
* Detail oriented
