UCI Family Medicine provides clinical services for patients of all ages in a variety of settings as follows: Family Health Centers (federally qualified health centers or FQHC's) in Santa Ana and Anaheim; Joe C. Wen & Family Center for Advanced Care; SeniorHealth Center; skilled nursing facilities; inpatient services and obstetric deliveries at the UCI Douglas Hospital in Orange.
UCI Family Medicine provides education across a variety of programs including undergraduates; medical students; family medicine residents; fellows in geriatrics and sports medicine; and outreach to the community.
Provide direct patient care for patients of all ages; Work with team to address patient requests through electronic and physical inboxes, lab and radiology reports, and prescription refills; Complete documentation and billing in a timely manner. May be asked to cover clinical vacancies in same day, walk-in, etc. within the FQHC.
Qualifications:Required:
- Family physician; board-certified, full-scope ambulatory health care services including care of children, adults and the elderly.
- Proficiency in Spanish
- M.D. or D.O. from an accredited institution; completion of Family Medicine residency; board certification in Family Medicine.
- California Medical license
- Active and current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification.
- Candidates who recently completed a residency or fellowship are encouraged to apply.
Preferred:
- Experienced in providing and/or oversight of pre-natal care.
- Leadership skills; ability to motivate, inspire, and communicate with faculty, residents, staff, and peers to maintain a professional, team-based approach in the care of patients.
