The Staff Product Manager will play a pivotal role in enhancing Xometry's financial technology capabilities and services to support marketplace efficiency and deliver seamless user experiences. This role focuses on developing, managing, and evolving payment systems and billing platforms that serve both customers and partners including both Order to Cash and Procure to Pay. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial services and systems, an understanding of cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to leverage data to drive impactful results.
In this role, you'll engage deeply with both internal stakeholders and external partners to build a robust product roadmap. You'll partner with engineering, finance, accounting, and business teams to deliver innovative solutions that integrate seamlessly with core marketplace operations, ensuring scalability, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do:
- Develop and own the strategy for payments, billing, accounting and financial systems, aligning with business goals to create value for customers and drive marketplace growth.
- Lead complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives across engineering, operations, and finance to develop and enhance payment services, billing platforms, and financial reporting tools.
- Collaborate with technology and finance leadership to ensure payment systems, AR solutions, and billing processes are scalable and meet evolving business needs.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency through system integrations (e.g., ERP, third-party billing tools) and financial technology partnerships.
- Build, prioritize, and maintain product roadmaps and backlogs, ensuring alignment with broader company strategy and operational goals.
- Leverage data analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product performance and guide decision-making, incorporating user feedback to continuously improve.
- Develop strong relationships with stakeholders, driving consensus on priorities and ensuring smooth communication across product, technology, finance, and executive leadership teams.
- Advocate for best practices in agile methodologies and SDLC processes, ensuring the delivery of high-quality features and seamless platform releases.
- Support broader company success by mentoring peers and facilitating cross-team collaboration.
What You'll Need:
- 7+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on payments, billing, accounting or financial services systems, ideally in ecommerce or marketplace companies.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives in fast-paced environments with a web-based or technology-driven product.
- Proven expertise in building or managing billing platforms, AR/AP processes, or payment services with integration into systems such as Salesforce, Intacct, Stripe, or other financial tools.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and build consensus.
- Experience balancing business outcomes, technical feasibility, and customer needs to make trade-off decisions and prioritize effectively.
- Hands-on experience using data and metrics to validate hypotheses, inform product decisions, and measure success against KPIs.
- Experience working closely with engineering teams to manage the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and deliver product features.
- Team player with a mission-driven attitude, able to thrive in dynamic, remote-first environments.
