In the Staff Product Manager, Site Discovery role you'll be responsible for creating and launching customer centric, transformational and scalable shopping experiences on the Walmart app and website
You will create and optimize inspirational shopping experiences that are relevant, easy, fun, and intuitive across Walmart’s rapidly growing assortment. You will identify customer problems and needs, define product vision, strategy, solutions and roadmaps, and execute with agility & speed. You will lead the product management lifecycle in partnership with teams such as Site Merchandising, Analytics, Data Science, UX Design, Engineering, Program Management, Personalization, Tooling and more. How you'll make an impact...Conceptualize, test, deliver, and grow experiences to help customers navigate, narrow down and make confident decisions across a wide assortment of products Develop and enhance products by defining and managing product strategy, roadmaps, align business and technical needs, analyze customer and product data, turn customer insights into actionable initiatives, determine rollout strategy, and manage risks Define vision and strategies for your product family, using domain expertise, internal and external best practices, identifying market opportunities, building business cases, and approving objectives Build collaborative relationships with important partners by guiding priorities aligned to business goals, communicating, and prioritizing product roadmaps, and gaining support from leadership Build and communicate alignment around the strategy, roadmaps, areas of focus, trade-offs, impact, and decisions Provide overall direction by analyzing business goals and customer needs You’ll sweep us off our feet if...You are customer obsessed, data-driven, and have a bias towards action You evangelize product strategy and vision to leadership You are able to translate product strategy into detailed specifications, making functional and user interface design tradeoffs, managing product launches and owning the product successes post-launch You are an empathetic partner to customers and proactively anticipate requirements, influence, and guide team towards building appropriate solutions You are an innovative thinker and able to synthesize data from multiple sources (including analytics, user research, operations research, design, etc.) to identify key unmet needs and solutions that can address the needs You are data-driven and analytical to draw insights from current product performance to deliver on key user metrics You have the ability to work across partner teams to make the vision of the product successful You're excited about solving complex problems and challenges You're comfortable influencing others, managing stakeholders, and communicating clearly You have a test and learn mentality and an agile way of working to improve your product Responsibilities for this role...Product Lifecycle Management - Core PDM skills required to lead product development efforts including ability to synthesize Customer, business, systems, and design requirements into product documentation for engineering and usher that work from ideation, to launch, to scale. Leads the PDLC for moderately complex products.Leads requirements gathering for moderately complex products with large-sized cross-functional teams. Engage in planning and showcasing of the launch of moderately complex products. Resolves project conflicts and dependencies and escalate with suggested solutions. Business & Financial Acumen - Holistically grasps essential operational, retail, and financial concepts relevant to the role and exhibits robust analytical skills applicable to crafting business cases for tech investments, comfortably making value projections. Conducts and articulates complex ROI analysis of solutions to complex problems with indirect values to the Customers. Possesses strong analytical skills; influences complex process and solution design. Identify root cause(s) that directly impacts KPIs & NPS. Domain & Technical Knowledge - Thoroughly comprehends the Customer needs, business domain, the technology, and industry trends
Methodically deploys new technology solutions while managing adoption, uncertainty, and business risks. Identifies the Customer use cases for moderately complex products. Validate the performance of moderately complex products. Contributes to a culture driven by curiosity and awareness of technology trends/capabilities. Strategic Thinking, Road mapping & Planning - Proactively identifies and considers innovative opportunities, product longevity, more effective and efficient solutions by actively seeking best practices from competitors, industries, and users
Effectively structures items in the product backlog into short-term, intermediate, and long-range technology product development plans aligning with the business strategy. Evangelizes moderately complex products. Manages a roadmap for moderately complex products. Defines and actualizes strategy in the development of a moderately complex product.
