Inova Fair Oaks is seeking an Experienced Registered Nurse to join the Observation Unit! This is a Part-Time, Days (2- 12 hour shifts) role.
The Observation Unit (OBS) at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is comprised of 15 beds with rapid patient turnover and discharges per shift (with patients staying for 24 hours or less). The patient population consists of cardiac, neurological, medical, and surgical patients. This position allows for future professional growth by teaching the fast-paced atmosphere of an ER while strengthening critical skills in a medical/surgical setting. Ideal for candidates who possess strong time management skills, work well in a team -paced settings.

Schedule: Part-Time, Days (2- 12 hour shifts)
Requirements: Requires a minimum of 1-year Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting
- A minimum of a least 1 full year of previous Progressive Care (PCU), Telemetry, and/or Medical/Surgical experienced preferred.
Minimum Education Requirement: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date. BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification required.
Minimum Licensure/ Certification Requirement:
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start.
