Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations. ResponsibilitiesDevelop and compile automotive embedded firmware to run on LinuxIncorporate and develop simulink models into to existing C++ HIL simulatorOffload tests from HW test environment to virtual environmentsDevelop and coordinate hardware abstraction changes with virtual builds and interfaces to simulatorsContinually push technology to develop software testing capabilitiesDefine and implement regression tests to run on virtual and hardware test assetsQualificationsA degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering with focused on emulation or simulation6+ years of experience in automotive simulation or firmware developmentor 5+ years of experience building simulink models (powertrain, body domain models) for HIL testingExperience developing and debugging with C/C++, Python, Real Time Operating Systems, embedded systems, Linux Kernel, pthreads & mutexes, UDP/TCP protocols and virtual networking is requiredAbility to thrive under pressure and time constraints, apply creative and critically thinking to deliver exceptional resultsMust have experience with the following: Linux, SafeRTOS/FreeRTOS, Multi-threading, CAN/CAN-FD, LIN, PytestKnowledgeable with Ethernet Network Stack, inter process communication, UDE, NVM, UDS, SPI, I2C, IOCBI, HSM, Flexray, Bazel, SimulinkPay DisclosureSalary Range for California Based Applicants: $171,100 - $213,900 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26.
