About the Job
Minimum qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
+ 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.
+ 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
+ Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
+ 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
+ 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects.
+ Experience with relevant technologies (e.g., Tensorflow/PyTorch).

With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
As a Staff Software Engineer on the Google Cloud ML Ninja team, you'll play a critical role in helping our customers unlock the full potential of AI/ML on Google Cloud. You'll be a technical leader and customer advocate, designing, building, and optimizing cutting-edge AI solutions. You'll dive deep into complex performance challenges, troubleshoot intricate issues, and guide customers towards success. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the rapidly evolving field of AI, while leading and mentoring a team of talented engineers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $189,000-$284,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. + Design, build, and optimize end-to-end AI/ML solutions, including large-scale models, for customer workloads on Google Cloud.
+ Act as a strong advocate for customers, driving solutions to their challenges and influencing product roadmaps.
+ Transfer knowledge and solutions to internal teams to ensure seamless customer support.
+ Lead and mentor the GCE AI Ninja team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
+ Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
