Group: Land Surveying
Position: Staff Surveyor
Location: Columbus, OH
Our team of 40+ professionals have access to the latest tools such as, GPS, robotic, and hydrographic surveying equipment. Our Land Surveying team does it all, from land title surveys, to topographic and boundary surveys, to hydrographic, transportation and utility route surveys, to right-of-way services and construction staking.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of deliverables for boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, right-of-way plans, topographic surveys, and construction staking calculations
- Assist in performing boundary research and property line determinations for surveying and engineering projects
- Communicate with clients and internal groups/employees in a professional manner
- Review work of other surveying staff
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must hold a current Surveyor Intern (SI) certificate or Professional Surveyor (PS) License in Ohio, or be on a track to pursue and obtain the SI certificate within 1 year of employment or the PS license within 4 years of employment
- Knowledge in current version of either AutoCAD/C3D or Microstation/ORD a must
- Knowledge in both drafting platforms listed above considered a plus
- Microsoft Office knowledge
- Knowledge of construction staking and calculations associated with staking considered a plus
