About the Job
What You'll Do:
- Modernize Web Architecture: Spearhead the transformation of our web technology stack, evaluating and implementing state-of-the-art frameworks and tools to enhance user experience, performance, and maintainability.
- Lead Design & Development: Design and develop responsive, performant, and visually appealing web applications, ensuring they meet modern standards of scalability and usability.
- Optimize for Speed & Scalability: Implement performance optimization techniques to ensure our web applications are fast, efficient, and scalable.
- Enhance SEO & Visibility: Apply SEO best practices to improve our online visibility and organic search rankings, ensuring our web platforms remain competitive.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with UX/UI designers to create intuitive, engaging user interfaces that enhance customer satisfaction and ease of use.
- Mentor & Guide: Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement. Establish coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines.
- Conduct Code Reviews: Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality code and adherence to best practices.
- Stay Ahead of Trends: Keep up with emerging web technologies, industry trends, and search engine algorithms to drive data-informed decisions in our web strategy.
Our Ideal Candidate Has:
- Proven Expertise: 10+ years of experience in modernizing web client products, with a portfolio showcasing your ability to raise the bar in user experience and web performance.
- Front-End Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular), HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
- SEO Knowledge: Familiarity with SEO best practices and tools, with a proven track record of improving organic search rankings.
- Technical Leadership: Experience leading cross-functional teams, mentoring junior engineers, and establishing coding standards and architectural guidelines.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience with progressive web apps (PWAs) and single-page applications (SPAs).
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and their implementation.
- Familiarity with containerization and microservices architectures.
- Exposure to server-side technologies (e.g., Go, Node.js, Python, Ruby) and some familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
