Staffing Coordinator
Job Summary: Responsible for coordinating staffing needs, ensuring optimal coverage for endoscopy procedures and supporting the overall operation and efficiency of the center.
Reporting Relationship: Reports to the clinical director.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following.Other duties may be assigned:
1.Develop and maintain staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all endoscopy procedures, taking into account staff availability, skills and patient needs.
2.Serve as the primary point of contact for staffing-related inquiries, facilitating clear communication between clinical teams and management.
3.Assist in the recruitment and onboarding process for new staff, including facilitating orientation sessions.
4.Maintain accurate staffing records, including attendance and overtime utilizing our scheduling software.
5.Ensure that staffing practices comply with regulatory requirements and center policies, including licensing and certification standards.
6.Address staffing conflicts, scheduling changes, and unexpected absences efficiently to minimize disruption to operations
7.Generate staffing reports and metrics for management review, highlight trends and areas for improvement.
8.Assist in coordination of orientation of new employees.
9.Coordinates with Materials Manager for equipment, special equipment, and supplies for upcoming endoscopy cases, and resolves any problems.
10.Interacts appropriately and effectively with all patients/others regardless of age or ethnic background.
11.Follows equipment safety guidelines.
12.Assists with environmental hazard and infection control surveillance and participates in emergency preparedness drills.
13.Ensures that Standard Universal Precautions, the National Patient Safety Goals, and principles of aseptic and sterile technique are used appropriately.
14.Assists in the Implementation of safe practices and provides knowledgeable guidance and evaluation of the environment of care management, including life safety (fire prevention), security, hazardous materials and waste management, emergency preparedness, infection control, the safe use of medical equipment, and utilities.
15.Ensures meaningful differences are implemented as outlined in the EDGE (Every Day Giving Excellence) Program.
16.Participates in review and revision of the policies and procedures at the Surgery Center.
17.Orders supplies including drugs, solutions, and equipment, and maintains records on narcotics.
Qualifications: Graduate of an approved school of nursing. Currently licensed in the state of CA.CPR certification is required.One year experience required in endoscopy setting.Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities. Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position.

Education and/or Experience: Graduate of an approved school of nursing. Currently licensed in the state.CPR required. Other skills and abilities:General familiarity with medical terminology as it pertains to anatomy and surgical procedures for an operating room.

Hourly Range: $44 to $50
Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current CA Nursing License
- Current BLS, ACLS
- Minimum of 2 years experience in GI Center. Previous experience working in an ambulatory surgical setting preferred.
- Understand principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
- Ability to care for adult patients
- Knowledge base to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrate strong professional and ethical behavior
