Job Title: Start-Up and Commissioning Lead Engineer I
Reports to: Chief Technical Officer
SUMMARY
Blentech Corporation, in Santa Rosa, CA seeks a Start-Up and Commissioning Lead Engineer I to function as the primary contact and project coordinator between Blentech customers and the Blentech teams, once the equipment has shipped to the site and is ready for startup and commissioning. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Function as the primary contact and project coordinator between Blentech customers and the Blentech teams, once the equipment has shipped to the site and is ready for startup and commissioning. This position is the one that takes over running the project once it leaves the Blentech site. Develop documentation to support Commissioning, Qualifications, and Validation and assist with protocol writing and execution, field verification, and the development of summary reports at client sites. Work with internal controls, process management engineering team, mechanical, sales, and parts teams to provide customers with required information and support. Coordinate with the Process Engineering Management team to schedule and facilitate startup and commissioning, and administrative duties of customer-required documents, forms, safety regulations, and site rules. Create and share key engineering information with the customer associated with troubleshooting their equipment. Prepare piping and instrumentation diagrams and arrangement drawings for projects as required. Prepare change orders and proposals as necessary for equipment and services and leverage knowledge of PLC programming and electrical hardware to support automation and controls engineering as needed. Assist with onsite installation, start-up, and customer team training. Travel to customer sites for training staff and operations and to provide Start-Up assistance for a machine. Upon completion of the project Communicate design improvements to the engineering teams to create a cycle of continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Engineering, or related field.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 4 years of experience (as a chemical, mechanical or food science engineer) with prior Start-up and Commissioning of Food Equipment.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: Up to 40% domestic travel and up to 10% international travel to Europe and Asia, and other countries
Wage Range: $129,022
