Crossroads Care Center of Pewaukee is currently looking to add dedicated and professional Wisconsin State Certified Medication Assistants (Med-Techs) to our strong and dependable nursing team. All Medication Assistants must be CNA Certified and have passed the Medication Assistant program through the state of Wisconsin.
Job Description:
Working under the direct supervision of a nurse our CNA/Med Techs provide direct care to residents in our 120-bed skilled nursing facility. As a Crossroads Care Center CNA/ Med Tech, you will be joining a vital role in our residents’ lives by ensuring the highest quality of care is received ensuring the best possibly healing and health is achieved.
Shift Times:
Day Shift - 06:00-14:30
Evening Shift - 14:00-22:30 $3.00/hr. Shift Diff
Noc Shift - 22:00-06:30
Job Description:
Under the supervision of a licensed nurse and in accordance with any state and federal regulation and consistent with facility policies and procedures you will be expected to do the following but not limited to:
- Administer and record medications as ordered by a physician
- Notify appropriate licensed staff complaints of resident pain
- Take and record vital signs
- Ability and flexibility to work as a CNA
- Follow all up to date standards of hygiene, safety, and infection control
- Knowledge of resident’s rights
- Notify appropriate licensed staff when making the decision to not administer a medication or treatment
- Monitor residents who self-administer medication and report deviation from the plan of care to the appropriate Licensed staff
- Remove discontinued, outdated, or deteriorated medications from inventory
- Recognize and report unsafe condition for medication provision
- Recognize and report general reactions to medications
Qualifications:
- Must have a CNA certification within good standing with the state of Wisconsin
- Must have State Medication Administration Training (NOT CBRF)
- Ability to multitask
- Attention to detail
- Demonstrate cooperative team approach throughout the company and their work
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills
- Ability to follow written and oral directions
- Strong time management and organizational skills
