About the Job
The Stationary Engineer is responsible for the safe and proper operations of all aspects of facilities systems, but not limited to the following: HVAC System, electrical equipment, electrical distribution system, boiler plant operations, central plant (chillers), plumbing systems, all machinery and the physical structure, heating and wiring, inspecting buildings to conform to safety standards and scheduling major repairs.
* High School or Trade School Graduate
* Five (5) years of experience and full responsibility for plant operations and maintenance, including electric and welding.
* LICENSE: High Pressure Boiler Operating Engineer
* Certificate of Fitness – F37 Maintain Inside Fire Alarm System - S98
* Certificate of Fitness – Sprinkler with Booster Pump S12
* Certificate of Fitness – G35 to Operate Air Compressor or A35 to operate and maintain Air compressors
* Certificate of Fitness – G71 Supervision of Medical Gas Bulk 02/N02 Cen P
* Certificate of Fitness - Q01 - COQ Refrigeration Engineer
* Certificate of Fitness - P98 Supervisor fuel piping in building
* Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs or other drainage problems
* Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the building’s electricity
* Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building
* Interpersonal skills to interact with employees in a pleasant manner
* Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked.
* Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on the building.
