Position Overview:
Performs duties necessary to keep the physical structure and associated equipment of Hospital in good repair. Minor electrical work, mechanical repairs, and other duties relating to maintenance are the primary duties. Operates and maintains stationary mechanical equipment, such as steam boilers, compressors, vacuum pumps, generators, electrical switchboards & pumps. Utilities such as lighting, heating, refrigeration systems, air conditioning and other support services for the hospital.

EDUCATION
_Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma._
HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience
Other: Appropriate trade / technical/ vocational training is essential.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:
Journeyman level experience.
Engineering experience in a healthcare environment.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Journeyman level knowledge of boilers, H.V.A.C. electrical, plumbing, all mechanical equipment and Medical Center Safety Policy and Procedures.
Ability to work well with others.
Accuracy, attention to detail, ability to organize/ prioritize work.

Pay Range is $65.08 to $65.08 / hour
_The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
