The Black Bruin Resource Center, also referred to as the BBRC or The Center, creates programs and activities that facilitate recruiting a more diverse student body, retention efforts such as academic guidance and matriculation to graduation, graduate, and professional school. Also, the BBRC provides space for Black students, faculty, staff, alumni to build community and celebrate the Black/African diaspora's various cultures to enhance the UCLA experiences for all. The Program Manager, BBRC serves a vital, pivotal role in the administration and development of the services and programs for the Black Bruin Resource Center (BBRC). The PM oversees daily operations of the programs, including websites, supervises graduate and undergraduate staff, directs the development and promotion of events and activities of the functional areas, advises students and student groups, and provides support, education, and advocacy on the UCLA campus regarding the distinctive challenges, needs and experiences of these populations. This position oversees the BBRC student staff including implement training programs with minimal guidance and provide day-to-day supervision of graduate and undergraduate interns, and volunteers. This position also oversees the programming budget and is responsible for working with the graduate and undergraduate student on large-scale and signature programs both campus wide and center specific.
