(Preferred) Demonstrated skill in advising students on program and degree requirements and other academic information. (Preferred) Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate complex information to individuals and groups. (Required) Ability to speak on a one-to-one basis using appropriate vocabulary and grammar to obtain and transmit information. (Required) Demonstrated ability to work independently, to exercise judgment and initiative, and to follow through to completion or resolution. (Required) Ability to handle confidential information with judgment and discretion. (Required) Ability to prioritize and organize workload to ensure timely completion of tasks and to accurately reflect relative importance of duties. (Required) Interpersonal skills to create and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students, and University administrators. (Required) Skill in performing with frequent interruptions and/or distractions. (Required) Skill in working as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues. (Required) Ability to create and manage tracking systems and reports using word processing, spreadsheet and database software. (Preferred) Knowledge of campus admissions, graduate admissions and related policies and procedures. (Preferred) Knowledge of campus policies and procedures regarding student financial aid, monetary awards and fellowships. (Preferred) Demonstrated skill in designing and updating web pages. (Preferred) Education, Licenses, Certifications, & Professional Affiliations:Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training. Assist with general administrative duties for student services, admission and recruitment. Manages the TFT front-desk including answering phones, and greeting guests. Advises prospective students on admissions to the programs at the School of Theater, Film and Television.
