What it's like to be a Steel Welder at Steel Welder
As a Steel Welder at Kinsley Steel you will be responsible for welding structural steel parts according to detailed drawings and marked-up weld symbols. Your attention to detail and precision will ensure that the structural components are welded correctly, meeting the highest quality standards. Requirements for this Steel Welder job
To be successful in the role of Steel Welder at Kinsley Steel, candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications. First and foremost, a welding certification in D1.1 2G/3G with applicable experience is required. This certification demonstrates your expertise in welding structural steel components. The ability to interpret fabrication and construction drawings is crucial, as you will be required to follow specifications and mark-up weld symbols accordingly.
Prior experience operating overhead cranes is preferred, as it will be necessary to safely maneuver heavy materials. Previous welding experience is also beneficial, as it will provide a foundation for your work in this role. Candidates with a 2G/3G Certification will be given preference, as it signifies a higher level of proficiency and expertise.
