Sterile Processing Manager - Full Time - Steward Health Care System

Position Summary:
Manages and leads team of Sterile Processing Techs. Ensures assemply and warping of surgical instraments and linens is completed properly. Participates in sterilization quality assurance. Completed administrative tasks for the unit.

Licensure/Certification/Education (Required):
List any license, certification or education required for this job (e.g. driver's license, RN License, HHA Certification, Master's Degree, etc.)

1. Education 1: High School Graduate/Equivalent
2. Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST)
3. Minimum of 1 year of Management experience

Specialized Skills (Required):
List the minimum specific knowledge and skills necessary to perform this job (e.g., homecare exp., med/surg exp., basic accounting principles/practices, spreadsheets, word processing, etc.)

1. Basic Knowledge of anatomy
2. Ability to multitask to meet changing needs of customers served.
3. Medical/Surgical practical experience
4. Excellent communication skills
5. Basic knowledge of operating room practices and instruments.
6. Basic knowledge of orthopedic, open heart, robotic equipment and instruments.
7. Knowledge of principles of cleaning , decontamination, disinfections, and sterilization.
8. Critical thinking skills
