Sterile Processing Technician | Evenings - United Surgical Partners International Inc (USPI)

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Friscois seeking a motivated Sterile Processing Technician to join our team.

Shift - 3:00p to 11:30pMonday - Friday

Job Summary

The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or Equivalent (GED) required
• Certification CRCST through IAHCSMM, or CRSPT through CBSPD required within 6 months of hire.
• 2-3 years experience as Instrument Room Technician.
• Experience with all types of sterilizers.
• Knows operating room instrumentation.
• Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray.
• Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer.
• Understands Low Temperature Sterrad sterilizers.
• Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians
