THE OPPORTUNITY:
Under the direction of the Accessories Art Lead, this position is responsible for the training and evaluation of Production Artists in our licensed divisions.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, hours TBD. (Onsite or remote)
A Typical Day (job functions) | Train + Motivate + Monitor + Evaluate + Communicate
- Train new hires and existing team in the Accessories Department, concentrating in the areas of our College, Disney and Life is Good Divisions.
- Attend all scheduled meetings and 90-day reviews
- Ensure team members are appropriately trained in the areas of job responsibility, safety, and company policy
- Motivate all team members to achieve personal and department success
- Monitor and evaluate the daily progress of team members according to the training agenda
- Communicate with Art Lead regarding the progress of team members into and past their 90-day reviews.
- Troubleshoot and adjust training as needed based on progress discussions with Team Lead
- Maintain daily task loads; the required amount is directed by leader
- Promote and display Lakeshirts' core values on a daily basis
- Follow safety practices; identify problems and work to resolve safety issues as they occur in accordance with OSHA standards
- Work actively with others in the department and company to achieve positive results
- Other responsibilities as directed
Skills (qualifications) | Coaching + Mentoring + Effective Communication + Troubleshooting
- 2 or 4-year Graphic Design degree or Art-related degree preferred
- Illustrating background and experience with Illustrator and Photoshop or similar programs required
- Minimum of 1 year working in the Art Department preferred
- Must have strong coaching & mentoring skills with the ability to transfer knowledge to the team
- Must be able to communicate effectively (verbal & written), be flexible with the daily schedule, organized, adapt to change, reliable, diplomatic, enthusiastic, courteous, follow the agenda and standards, patient and personable
- Completion of Lakeshirts' Train the Trainer Program is preferred, but not required
- Ability to work well within a team
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Excellent organizational skills
