Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Manager to oversee daily operations, ensure excellent customer service, and drive sales at our convenience store. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail management, team leadership, and store operations. This role is critical to maintaining a well-organized, clean, and welcoming environment for customers, as well as optimizing store profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management:
Ensure efficient day-to-day store operations, including inventory management, stock ordering, and maintaining cleanliness and organization. - Team Leadership:
Train and supervise store staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Schedule shifts and manage employee performance. - Customer Service:
Promote a culture of excellent customer service, addressing customer concerns, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. - Sales & Profitability:
Monitor sales performance, develop strategies to increase store revenue, and manage pricing, promotions, and product placement. - Financial Management:
Oversee cash handling, bank deposits, and financial reporting. Ensure the store operates within its budget and meets financial targets. - Compliance & Safety:
Ensure all operations comply with company policies, health and safety regulations, and local laws. Conduct regular safety audits and maintain store security protocols. - Vendor Relations:
Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of products and competitive pricing. - Marketing & Merchandising:
Implement store promotions and manage product displays to maximize sales.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in retail management, preferably in a convenience store, grocery, or similar environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Solid understanding of sales principles, inventory control, and financial management.
- Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and store technology.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business management or a related field preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
