About the Job
The Market at the Point (The Market) is a retail store owned by Senior Action, a nonprofit, for the purpose of generating revenue to support Senior Action’s mission to serve the 55+ population in Greenville. The Market includes 43 individual small businesses that rent booth space within The Market space. The Store Manager for The Market is responsible for all management duties of The Market including selecting, scheduling, and training sales team; seeking and confirming booth vendors; financial oversight and deposits; social media and marketing efforts; overseeing furniture donation program; vendor relations; and store classes and special events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees the daily operations of the store.
- Seeks new vendors and fills booths as vacancies become available.
- Monitors daily sales and supplies in the store. Prepares and reconciles weekly deposits.
- Ensures a clean and enjoyable shopping experience for customers both current and prospective.
- Oversees the furniture donation program.
- Selects, schedules, and trains sales team.
- Promotes the store through regular social media posts as well as classes and special events that drive sales.
- Communicates regularly with email marketing list.
- Communicates and interacts with vendors to create strong connection with vendors and store.
Requirements
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
· Two years’ experience in retail management and proven sales records.
· Experience with social media marketing and producing attractive flyers.

Benefits
