Position Summary:

Join our dedicated team at Vallen as a Storeroom Team Lead!
In this role, you'll be based at a customer's location, where you'll focus on coordinating storeroom operations, handling materials, and addressing customer needs. This is a hands-on position that combines Customer Service Representative (CSR) and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) duties. You'll ensure that the storeroom runs efficiently by assisting with various tasks related to inventory management and customer support.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries via phone, email, or in person.
- Perform a variety of storeroom tasks including ordering, receiving, inspecting, shelving, packing, labeling, and maintaining a perpetual inventory of the customer's material.
- Efficiently manage the storeroom's organization by entering data into a computerized system to keep accurate records and quickly retrieve information when needed.
- Identify opportunities to improve inventory handling procedures and recommend space utilization enhancements.
- Operate and maintain storeroom tools and equipment, ensuring safe and efficient use.
- Address customer issues promptly and professionally to ensure a high level of satisfaction.
- Assist with maintaining a safe and compliant work environment within the storeroom.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, with 4+ years of related experience in storeroom operations, supply chain, or inventory management.
- Proven knowledge of products, industry standards, and supply chain systems.
- Strong communication, time management, and customer service skills.
- Quality-focused with a keen eye for detail, accuracy, and thoroughness.
- Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word) with the ability to quickly learn company-specific software.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Must be comfortable being on your feet for extended periods, as the customer site will involve significant walking throughout the day.
- May be required to handle hazardous materials and wear appropriate protective equipment.
- Must be able to perform physical inventory tasks and work in varying temperature or dusty conditions.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, and climb; may lift to 100 lbs. with assistance.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.#IND-JP
