Stores and Receiving Specialist - Grand View Hospital

The Stores and Receiving Clerk is responsible for maintaining an appropriate level of supplies on assigned departments.  The Stores and Receiving Clerk is responsible for the proper documentation of all receipts of incoming material and the processing of all material to be shipped out of the hospital.

Essential Functions:

• The Stores and Receiving Clerk Maintains appropriate levels of supplies on assigned departments.
• Maintains inventory and accurately track data for timely distribution. 
• Enters accurate issue data into the computer to produce pick tickets for the timely distribution of supplies to various departments.
• Picks supplies accurately from shelves via pick tickets and delivers the supplies to the departments on designated delivery days to minimize possibility of stock outs.
• Adjusts supply par levels on departments to provide optimal levels of working inventory.
• Unloads trucks when required to efficiently handle supplies and equipment.
• Processes all received material in an accurate and timely manner and enters receiving information into the computer the day of receipt.
• Documents all damages and shortages to ensure appropriate corrective measures are taken.
• Delivers all overnight express supplies within one hour of receipt.
• Prepares material for shipping by packaging and documenting all pertinent shipping forms according to procedures to allow for proper review of shipping functions.
• Restocks storeroom shelves on a daily basis or as needed, to provide the storeroom with well-balanced work-flow.
• Assists with shipping and receiving functions to minimize any delay in the processing of materials.
• Delivers received supplies to departments to provide a timely and accurate document delivery process to the hospital.

Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00 am-4:30 pm

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma/GED Required
