StoryKids Ministry Director - The Story Church

The StoryKids Director is fully committed to Jesus and intensely motivated to inspire non-religious Houstonians to follow Jesus. This individual is a goal-oriented self-starter who understands that the goals of Christian leadership are 1) to serve and not to be served, 2) to empower others to do the work of God's kingdom, and 3) to become a leader who raises up leaders who raise up leaders. This person will report to The Story's Executive

The individual in this role will meet the following goals:

• Implement church policies and protocols for safety, security, and care of the children who participate in StoryKids programming
• Supervise StoryKids & Nursery staff
• Establish and oversee a parent-led team
• Supervise children's ministry volunteer recruitment, training, and deployment
• Plan, execute, and oversee StoryKids Sunday programming for children ages infants-5th grade
• Plan StoryKids service events through The Story's Strategic Partners (4 quarterly events)
• Plan and execute StoryKids Events including but not limited to: Easter Egg Hunt, Fall Festival, Christmas Activities, and Summer Fun Days
• Plan and execute VBS and summer camps
  

Other duties include, but are not limited to:

• Participating in Staff Meetings, Chapels, and fellowship events
• Collaborating with the rest of staff for church-wide events or at-large groups

Requirements: Bachelor's degree, Ministry Safe certification (to be completed upon hire), volunteer or paid experience in children's ministry

Compensation: Full time position salary based on experience
