Key Functions & Responsibilities of the Electronics Buyer
- Ensure optimal supply chain performance for electronic components.
- Meet stringent requirements for cost, quality, and delivery.
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, including RFQs and technical reviews.
- Select and manage a robust supplier base.
- Negotiate favorable contracts and ensure compliance.
- Cultivate strong partnerships with suppliers.
- Address commercial issues and drive cost reduction initiatives.
- Monitor market trends and identify optimization opportunities.
- Develop and execute localization strategies to increase regional content.
- Establish and manage annual material budgets.
- Conduct regular budget analysis.
- Track spending and identify cost-saving measures.
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the automotive electronics industry, preferably in purchasing direct materials.
- Proven technical expertise in PCBs, PCBAs, electronics hardware, semiconductors, or ECUs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand engineering documents.
- Strong knowledge of purchasing strategies and best practices.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 15%.
Salary
90 - 110 /year
