Required Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, business communications, public relations, media relations, or closely related field
Required Experience:
• 6+ years industry experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge and experience developing, implementing, and closing out communications plans and campaigns
• Experience writing for multiple mediums including executives and external-facing materials
Required Skills:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software, and using media distribution and monitoring services
• Self-motivated and ability to work independently with multiple teams while prioritizing transparency with direct leadership teams
• Comfortable and competent while working with senior leaders and managing cross-functional efforts with competing priorities
• Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.

We are seeking a Strategic Communications Project Manager to deliver and execute on high-profile earned media campaigns for regional, national, and global PR initiatives to expand our donor reach, elevate executive voice, and boost audience engagement through creative data-driven storytelling and audience-led content to demonstrate the impact of donor dollars. You will lead intake, workflow, planning, coordination, and closeout of strategic communications initiatives for the organization and its external business partners working collaboratively with their peers to execute projects.
Strategic Communications Project Manager Responsibilities:
• Managing complex projects, remaining agile to shifts in workloads and project expectations -Drive Solutions
• Own and manage project timelines and are comfortable setting and upholding them in unison with your peers
• Have a record of accomplishment in creating and implementing communications plans that include target audience strategies, channel outlines, media targets and core programmatic messaging
• Are exceptionally organized and can manage multiple projects at once without repeat reminders while remaining calm and communicative with peers and leadership.
• Maintain professional composure under pressure and follows through on assignments with minimal direction and/or in ambiguous situations
• Lead and Drive conversations in high-profile meetings with all project stakeholders
• Writer, skilled at defining and communicating a message and understand AP Stylebook guidelines
• Editor who excels on reviewing a variety of media materials for factual accuracy, adherence to brand messaging, and grammatical completeness, sometimes on tight deadlines
• Reporting and analysis. You provide regular media, communications, and project updates to Strategic Communications leadership and peers while packaging impactful and analytical media recaps in a timely manner
• Understand the value of pausing, reflecting, and analyzing processes, workflows, and project plans to maximize and drive results
• Support multi-disciplinary teams who have competing priorities and collaborating effectively with colleagues on campaign development activities
• Perform research to identify creative ways to drive fundraising and audience engagement and collaborate with Media Relations and Strategic Communications team members to fulfill needs for conducting outreach to reporters to work out logistics, scheduling, pre-arranged interview subjects and permissions with the appropriate teams in accordance with HIPAA.
• Spearheading development and maintenance of workflow charts and reports on current and upcoming planning efforts of the Media Relations and Strategic Communications team
