About the Job
The Sr. Strategic Sales Manager has responsibility for the prospecting, development and implementation of regionally and nationally-based contracts that support the organization’s strategies and objectives for assigned area and accounts. Partners with Regional Sales Directors and Area Vice Presidents to develop strategies and tactics that support revenue and market share growth in area IDNs, independent hospitals, and area GPO membership. Other key responsibilities will include strategic sales project initiatives, cross-functional team building, development of contracting strategy, assisting in leading negotiations, the education and positioning of value offering, managing pricing integrity and protecting margins within established guidelines.Qualifications • Bachelors Degree • 7+ years of sales experience• 3+ years of selling to IDNs and/or GPOs • Experience in reading, analyzing, negotiating and writing contracts and proposals• Ability to operate in a matrixed environment • Pricing negotiations
