Salary/Hourly Rate:
$47.85/hr
Position Overview:
The Strategic Sourcing Manager will oversee procurement services, focusing on high volumes of MSAs and SOW agreements. The Strategic Sourcing Manager role involves negotiating contracts for various services, collaborating with stakeholders, and managing sourcing activities to ensure optimal value for the firm.
Responsibilities of the Strategic Sourcing Manager:
- Handle procurement of services (not goods) with 4 to 6 years of relevant experience
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies and negotiate business terms
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive best value
- Identify risks and work with managers, suppliers, and legal teams on MSAs and SOWs
- Manage sourcing activities by category and Business Unit
- Assist in developing and reviewing contracts and service agreements
- Evaluate supplier proposals and negotiate favorable terms
- Document negotiations and prepare approvals
- Maintain supplier relationships and identify alternative sources of supply
- Stay updated on sourcing advancements and best practices
Qualifications for the Strategic Sourcing Manager:
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of sourcing and contracting principles
- Understanding of regulatory guidelines and risk management concepts
- Experience in building relationships with internal clients and suppliers
- Critical thinking and analytical skills
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Business or related field, with a minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in strategic sourcing and contracts management, preferably with MSAs and SOWs
