About the Job
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Quantitative Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience working in data analytics, consulting, data science, engineering, or a technical operations role.
- 6 years of experience in statistical problem-solving and analyzing data sets using SQL or comparable coding language (e.g., Python, R, Java, C++).
- Experience delivering results with data visualization tools such as Looker, Looker Studio, Tableau, or Power BI.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, etc.).
- 5 years of experience with designing experiments, developing statistical models, measurement, and identifying business opportunities.
- Experience influencing senior leadership on analytical decision making.
- Experience in data analysis, with the ability to solve problems in complex, fast-moving, and ambiguous business environments through solid data intuition and business acumen.
- Knowledge of Google tools (e.g., Plex, BQ, etc.).
- Ability to effectively communicate analysis and recommendations across a wide range of non-technical audiences.

The Cloud Security Data team equips Google Security business leaders with the data and insights they need to confidently make decisions that improve our business and products. We do this by applying our data engineering, data science and data analysis skills to build trusted data sets, analyses, metrics, and dashboards that are tailored to the priorities and products of the Cloud Security business. We focus on scalable, executive-level and portfolio-wide insights and work closely with other functional and product specific analytic teams who offer additional complementary views for their customers.
The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $134,000-$198,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Go-To-Market and Post Sales leadership, leveraging product and business knowledge to answer critical, strategic questions.
- Build and refine the team's data platform infrastructure (e.g., data pipelines, data models and dashboards) to ensure it effectively supports strategic and product decision making across the Cloud Security organization.
- Conduct and lead analyses of our products and business to identify opportunities for improvement and clearly communicate insights to senior management and to the broader organization.
- Support the development and strengthening of operational processes and practices that drive efficiencies for the team and organization.
