Job Title: School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team in Stratford, CT. The SLP will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating students with a variety of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to help students reach their communication goals and succeed academically.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate speech and language goals into the educational environment.
- Monitor student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure ongoing improvement.
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering professional insights and recommendations to support student success.
- Educate and train teachers and staff on strategies to support speech and language development within the classroom.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of student assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
- Stay current with best practices, research, and state regulations in the field of speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid Connecticut SLP license and ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) certification (CCC-SLP).
- Experience working with children in a school setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
