JOB TITLE: Stress Engineering Manager - Aerospace
LOCATION: Bothell, WA
PAY: $121,000 - $166,000 per year

Summary:
Provides leadership for the Stress Engineering group, supporting ongoing and future aerospace programs.
Manages a team to ensure adherence to schedule, budget, and quality requirements, while maintaining FAA compliance.
Lead and manage a team of Stress Engineers to substantiate aircraft designs.
Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate staff, including performance reviews and salary adjustments.
Ensure quality standards and processes are met for the engineering department.
Develop tools and workflows to optimize project support.
Manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and allocate team resources effectively.
Collaborate with other departments to address engineering issues.
Prepare and present program status updates to ensure alignment.
Create structural substantiation and staffing plans to meet schedules and budgets.
Assist with bids and cost estimations for new programs.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Aeronautical Engineering (or equivalent).
8+ years of industry experience, with 4+ years in team leadership.
Must have aircraft interiors experience
Aerospace interiors background required.
Strong team management, coaching, and communication skills.
Knowledge of aircraft interiors, FAA regulations, and structural analysis (14 CFR Part 25).
Proficient in Finite Element Programs (e.g., NASTRAN) and classical hand analysis.
Expertise in design and substantiation practices in the aircraft industry.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to travel and work outside core business hours as required.
