EFK Moen, LLC, is a civil engineering design consulting firm headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri with office locations in St. Charles, Missouri, Chicago and Fairview Heights, Illinois, and Atlanta, Georgia. We are currently seeking an experienced Structural/Bridge Engineer for a full-time position in our Atlanta, Georgia office. Job Description:
Work independently performing structural bridge designs in a team-oriented environment. Project emphasis is on structural/bridge and other transportation-centric element designs for DOT and related clients. The projects range in scope from small, bridge rehabilitations and replacements to complex, multi-million-dollar designs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive:
- Daily production of structural/bridge design plans, structural calculations, reports, etc.
- Leadership that delivers quality design while adhering to the project budget/schedule
- Responsible and accountable for client/customer satisfaction and technical project execution
- Occasional field work - construction inspection, bridge inspection, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Qualifications, Skills & Abilities
- BS in Civil Engineering from an accredited program is required
- MS in Civil Engineering from an accredited program is a plus
- 4+ years of bridge design experience required
- EIT license is required
- Georgia PE and SE license are a plus
- DOT project experience, preferably in Georgia
- Proficiency in MicroStation CAD software is required
- Proficiency with structural design software is required
- Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills are required
- 1D or 2D Bridge Hydraulic software experience is a plus
Physical Qualifications:
- Ability to sit at desk for extended periods of time
- Ability to type and/or use a computer for extended periods of time
- Sufficient visual ability to focus attention on extended use of electronic documents and software
